on the upside, in the process of trying to cheer myself up I have discovered that there are two separate tumblrs dedicated to pictures of guinea pigs wearing hats
Oh! Oh! And all their AAA-cup bras are either padded, ‘ultra padded’ or padded with removable booster pads!
ok so I’m going to go on a little rant now hold on tight there will be little punctuation
see the thing is…
i’ve seen these posts floating around about how to find your proper bra size because department stores bra fitters are apparently full of shit
and they’re really cool. super informative.
and they had links to forums for finding the right bra. so i took a peek but on the surface it seemed like the majority of posts were talking about the problems of the fuller-busted lady
(which is fine, my sister is one such lady, i fully understand the woes)
i’m on the other end of the spectrum though so i googled for forums for flat-chested women and i came upon a tide of girls asking the internet for help because they were feeling really down about Not Having Boobs (and i vividly remember the not-so-distant days when i tied my own sense of self-worth to my cup size so i really related)
and the first response to every one of these questions was surgery
and that response was only questioned half the time
and when it was questioned the dipshit who suggested it would get all uppity and defensive like ‘i was only trying to help!!!’
one woman was even so snarky that the girl who asked the question and understandably took offense to the ‘expensive surgery’ suggestion actually apologised for being rude
the only reason we are made to feel bad about having small boobs is because small boobs are not considered as sexually appealing by our bullshit patriarchal society
and we are made to feel bad
because finding an A-cup bra outside of the training bra section in any affordable high street clothing store is rare enough
heaven forbid you need smaller than that
and the specialist companies that do cater for you charge three times as much
and apparently even they think that the smaller cup sizes need ‘enhancing’ rather than just being fucking supported properly
so the overwhelming message coming through is that we are wrong
it’s not the bras that don’t fit. it’s that we don’t fit the bras.
and if we feel unhappy with that well then why don’t we just get a boob job?
because obviously it’s the woman’s job to physically change herself to meet bullshit beauty standards
(oh but if she does get surgery and it goes wrong then it’s her own fucking fault for being so shallow oh my god i’m so done i am so fucking done)
reading the ‘fitting your bra’ section of a website that specialises in AAA to B cup bras and one of the questions is ‘are you bulging over the top of the cup?’
i’m pretty sure i came to your website because that has historically been the opposite of my problem
also they don’t have any pictures of an AAA model wearing an AAA bra
model is a B-cup minimum
